Latest Virut version infect also jpg, this is incredible hard to get rid this infection from PC, for now best options to heal system is downland Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 on other (not infected) machine, burn iso on CD/DVD and scan, heal what is possible to heal, what is not possible to heal then remove, You must make scans to the moment when scanner will not find infected files, after it Your system can be damaged so You must make system upgrade installation without loosing data and files, once is this ready pleas download this OTL OldTimer's List-It - Geeks to Go Forums make logs like instructions says and post it on their forum, they will try to help You.

BTW. There is always big risk that infection will be back, if Your system restore is active, after new start Your machine will be infected right away, also if Kaspersky live one infected file then scum will be back right away, this is most harmless infection for PC, I know from experience that Users helping other to remove this scum from PC says:

Complete HDD format, no backups!! After it all new installers should be downloaded from safe sites, no installations from backup!! No jpg backups, everything, exe, src are always infected.
So I'm sorry, but I think You don't have big chances to heal Your machine if it is latest Virut version...
